Everything on this site is written, edited, and reviewed in-house by the Inburgering Coach team. We are a very small team, not a content agency, and we would rather tell you plainly how our guides get made than let you guess.
"Sanne de Vries" is a house byline
Our blog posts carry the byline Sanne de Vries. That is a pen name, not a person. It is the single name we use for everything the team writes together, so that one shared voice runs through the site instead of a roster of invented authors.
Formal credit for every article goes to Inburgering Coach as an organisation — that is what our pages declare to search engines, and it is who stands behind the content.
Who is actually behind it
Inburgering Coach was built by an immigrant to the Netherlands who sat the inburgering exam himself and passed it. The guides come out of that experience plus the exam material we work through every day to build the app. When we describe what an exam part feels like, it is because we have taken it.
How we source facts
- Rules, fees, deadlines, and exam requirements come from the official sources — DUO, the IND, and Rijksoverheid. Where a page states such a rule, we link the source.
- Official rules change. We date every article and re-check the pages that carry fees, deadlines, or level requirements when the rules move.
- We use AI tools in our drafting process, as we do in the product. Nothing is published without a human on the team reading and correcting it first.
- Found something wrong or out of date? Tell us at support@inburgering.coach and we will fix it.
We are not DUO, and our feedback is not a result
Inburgering Coach is an independent practice app. We are not affiliated with DUO, the IND, or any Dutch government body, and we cannot register you for an exam or tell you whether you passed one.
The scores and feedback the app gives you on your writing and speaking are practice feedback to help you find the next thing to improve. They are not an official exam result and do not predict one. Only DUO can tell you your real result.
Money and independence
We make money from people who pay for the app. We do not run ads or sponsored posts on this site, and no one pays us to be recommended in a guide.
