How the A2 writing exam is marked
You get 4 writing tasks and 40 minutes, and you write with pen and paper. A task can be a short letter, an e-mail, a note or a form. An examiner marks each task on these points:

Zero on the first point means zero for the whole task. If the examiner can't recognise your text as an answer to the task, every other point scores zero too, however good your Dutch is. So answer every point in the task first.

Is the A2 writing check free? +
Yes. You don't need an account. You can check 3 e-mails a day.
Is this my real exam score? +
No. It is practice feedback from the same writing check our app uses. On the exam, DUO's examiners mark your work with the official marking model. AI feedback can miss a mistake or mark something that was fine.
What does the A2 writing exam look like? +

How is the A2 writing exam marked? +
A form is marked on three things: did you do what the task asked, spelling and word use. Every other task is also marked on grammar and coherence. If you score zero on doing what the task asked, the whole task scores zero.
What happens to my text? +
We only use it to check it, and we don't save it.
